Micro Cash Game Foolery

I cut my teeth playing single table sit and gos on mostly on Interpoker 5 years back when the grass was one hundred times greener. Recently, I paused my yo yo grinding and taken up micro stakes MTTs freezouts and rebuys, on Cake and FTP. This experience has been a learning one, and my game has grown, and is profitable. My dream, however, is to be able to play cash games and not go broke.

This reminds me of the stories I tell peeople about how prolific I am at picking up new skills except for that one… tried for years… failed each time, even tutored my masters. Never could I juggle. It is like some area of my brain that would control that facility is a dead zone, while all the surrounding areas governing very similar skills such as chip tricks, and the saxophone are thriving. 

Back to cash games. I will grind and win then donk feltastically.  I have dicerned this pattern. I proceeded to attempt to find leaks and patch furiously.  TAG sit and go style is too exploitable (even in sit and gos these days lol) PATCH. DON’T donk it off with top pair. (ahem) REALLY, don’t donk it off with top pair, dude. Okay… PATCHED. Don’t move up in stakes and cram your whole bankroll into one bullet then go broke with pocket aces or a king high flush. Okay, still working on this one… donk a lonk lata.
